Dance Teaching.

I am an inclusive Dance Artist and have worked with Corali Dance Company since 2016. I design and run workshops for young people and adults with a range of needs ranging from slight learning disabilities to profound and multiple learning disabilities and wheelchair users. In 2019 I trained with Para Dance as an inclusive dance instructor and began teaching for Disability Sports Coach. I currently teach 3 sessions a week and have adapted to online teaching so that I could reach up to 40 people per session. The online programme has been so popular we are continuing it alongside sessions in real life. My practice is always focused on the people attending the session. I give them as much ownership and responsibility as possible so that they are able to see this is a class for them where their contributions are integral to the session. I always include each participant creating a sound track of their songs and building small routines using their dance moves or their ideas to create movements. We use different themes, song lyrics, holidays or even what they are having for dinner as inspiration for our movements.
